Developing an Electrochemical Biosensor for the Detection of Hemagglutinin Protein of Influenza A Virus Subtype H1N1 in Artificial Saliva

Influenza A virus belongs to the Orthomyxoviridae family and, date, is one of most important pathogens causing acute respiratory infections, such as recent pandemic 2009. Hemagglutinin (HA) surface proteins that allow it interact with cellular molecules. Due fact abundant protein in capsule, best target detection H1N1 through biosensing devices. Our aim develop an electrochemical biosensor detect H1 by modifying carbon screen-printed electrodes (CSPE) gold nanoparticles and add further functionalization monoclonal antibodies are specific this protein. The were characterized means cyclic voltammetry, differential pulse voltammetry impedance spectroscopy. preliminary results suggest selected have acceptable affinity bind effectively a wide potential window presence [Fe(CN)6]3−/4−. In future, we will continue hope be commercialized common medical procedures during flu seasons future influenza pandemics.
